Svajonė Stanikienė (b. 1961, Lithuania) graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts obtaining a degree in ceramics in 1987. Since 1991 Svajonė is a member of Lithuanian Artists’ Association. In addition to that, from 2004 she became a member of Lithuanian Photographers’ Association.
Paulius Stanikas (b. 1962, Lithuania) graduated from Vilnius University obtaining a degree in economics in 1985. Since 1991 Paulius is a member of Lithuanian Artists’ Association and as of 2004 he is a member of Lithuanian Photographers’ Association.
The two artists both live between Paris and Vilnius

The duo's work is often described as controversial - it is abundant of themes like eroticism, death, aggression, through which allegorical, associative stories are told. These artists began their creative journey by making sculptures, and over time started combining them with drawings and photographs, in which they often pose, thus creating a greater effect - causing shock, psychological discomfort to the viewer. SetP Stanikas are participating in shows since 1988 and are one of the most active Lithuanian artists, their creative collaboration spanning for more than three decades.
