Agata Orlovska : Per speculum et in aenigmate
We are delighted to present a solo show "Per speculum et in aenigmate" by a young artist Agata Orlovska.
“The forms and meanings of the artworks ripple through the vast ocean of human perception, flowing like melting glaciers in a thawing tundra, delicately caressing once immovable pebbles. The feverish objects compels us to delve into their turbid waters, where the bottom is no longer discernible. Confronted with the challenge of immersing ourselves in the realm of meaningful possibilities, we are forced to seek refuge in a disorienting path of ever-changing abstraction and unwavering conceptual certainty. Tremendous unease before cognition is replaced by an enticing intrigue that accompanies every moment of immersion in the artworks – the essence of Agata Orlovska's objects allows us to submerge and, upon opening our eyes, discern the glimpses of truth and doubt, fleeting revelations, the silence of the heavens, and the resurging tumult of existence, concealed in the serene enigmas, gently pulsating and all-encompassing artworks, imbued with a painterly touch and the breath of sculptural thoughts.
Avoiding the customary and predictable, Agata Orlovska suppresses the currents of representation and fearlessly submerges herself in the depths of sensations and thoughts. Yet, not confining herself solely to the realm of the visual, she presses forward, plunging into the wellsprings of ideas where she sees meanings with her melting gaze, peeling away their superficial layers, yearning to reveal unprocessed essences. She demands our intellectual engagement and the time to immerse our thoughts. Her creations are like vessels for the inexpressible, like characters seeking to express that which need not necessarily be expressed, like desires to comprehend the enigmatic, perpetually shaping forces within us, like signs pointing inexhaustibly toward the expanse of our possibilities. An insatiable longing to be consumed by the undefined, in the ceaseless exploration and the flowing currents of time, which resonates with the profound depths of knowledge that reach our ears – perhaps that, too, is the eternal dance of existence, with the known and the unknown, the visible and the invisible.” - Bliss
