Tomas Sinkevičius and Viltė Bražiūnatė is Lithuanian artist duo working together since 2014. In their artistic practice, they look at the nature that has been affected by the ongoing emergence of new forms of work, commodification and disrupted geopolitical certainties.
In the context of the ideas of the Anthropocene, this duo is distinguished by their attentiveness to the inner state of manIn it, the seemingly depersonalized digital world, its possibilities and deformations became a spaced conductor of longing.
With the appearance of elements of natural history in the work , the feelings of loneliness and disorder , experienced in an unnatural nature permeated by desires and interventions, became even more apparent.
Together they completed bachelor's studies in photography and media art at the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts. Bražiūnaitė later studied in master's programs at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts and the Department of Sculpture of the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts and Sinkevičius studied at Konstfack University in Stockholm. The artists have held solo exhibitions together at "Studio 17" in Stavanger, the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts in Austria, "Konstfack" in Sweden and "Editorial" project space in Vilnius. Among the duo's group exhibitions - an exhibition at the "Swallow" project space in Vilnius, 2019.
