Timber: a robust furniture collection crafted with standardized construction beams as design principle. The stacking of blocks results in sculptural objects that seamlessly integrate form and function.
The standard production sizes and wide availability almost make you forget that each beam was once a tree in a forest. Rounding all corners emphasizes the wood grain, showing the origin of the beam.
Timber Burned finish: the Shou Sugi Ban technique involves the artful charring of wood to enhance its durability and create a distinctive, textured surface. The Timber Burned pieces are made using this traditional Japanese method, resulting in one-of-a-kind pieces that showcases the raw beauty of nature. After sanding the charred top layer, a colored linseed oil finish is applied, creating an unique combination of black hues and color.
Studio Onno Adriaanse is a sculptural design studio based in Eindhoven, founded in 2016 after Onno's graduation from the Design Academy Eindhoven. The studio creates unique design and art objects, blending craftsmanship with emotional experience, often inspired by landscapes and geological processes. Specializing in both commissioned and self-initiated projects, Onno Adriaanse’s work is featured in galleries and art/design fairs. The studio also collaborates with architects and interior designers to create high-quality interior finishes, integrating its signature material aesthetics into larger-scale projects.
