„Be pavadinimo“ – tai Rūtos Songailaitės perfotografuoti ir ant močiutės rūsyje rasto fotopopieriaus atspausdinti jos pačios paišyti akademiniai piešiniai, kuriuose matome gipsinę liūto galvos reljefo atlieją, triušio ir varno iškamšas bei gipsinį berniuko biustą. Rūtai svarbu tai, kaip piešdami daiktus, kurie vaizduoja gyvas būtybes, mes jiems vėl suteikiame gyvybės, nes ilgai užtrunkančiame akademinio piešimo procese susigyvename su kiekvienu jų linkiu, o pabaigoje išpiešiame akis ir piešiniai pradeda žiūrėti į mus. Fotografuodama piešinius, ji tarsi portretavo tuos piešiniuose atgijusius personažus. O spausdindama juos ant seno, ilgą ir turiningą kelią nuėjusio fotopopieriaus, dėl cheminių pokyčių koreguojančio atspaudus, Rūta sukūrė fotografinius personažus.

"Untitled" comprises academic drawings by Rūta, rephotographed and printed on photographic paper discovered in her grandmother's basement. The series showcases a plaster cast of a lion's head, taxidermied rabbits and a raven, and a plaster bust of a young boy. For Rūta, the essence lies in the act of infusing life into inanimate objects that represent living beings. In the protracted process of academic drawing, a profound connection is established with each contour, culminating in the rendering of eyes, where the drawings seem to gaze back at the observer. Through the photographic lens, she effectively portrays the characters brought to life in her drawings. Printing them on aged photo paper, which, through chemical changes, subtly corrects the prints, Rūta has fashioned these illustrations into photographic personas, each with its own unique narrative.
