EN
Linas Jusionis (b. 1986, Lithuania) has established himself as a key figure in the contemporary Lithuanian art scene, recognized for his distinctive minimalist style and thought-provoking compositions. His latest exhibition, "Only Traces Remain in the Snow", demonstrates a continuation of Jusionis’s unique artistic vision, where fragments of sports, leisure, and landscapes subtly intertwine to create an atmosphere filled with mystery and narrative tension. These elements serve as visual cues that encourage the viewer to construct their own story, even as the true narrative remains just out of reach.

Jusionis's paintings are known for their refined color palette, smooth, almost invisible brushstrokes, and reduction of form, creating an abstract yet cinematic quality. His work often draws inspiration from literature, film, and photography, with a particular affinity for the French New Wave and authors like Witold Gombrowicz. In "Only Traces Remain in the Snow", recurring motifs such as landscapes, open horizons, and sports imagery evoke both personal and universal themes, while simultaneously remaining elusive and ambiguous.

The exhibition’s title suggests a fleeting, transient nature, which aligns with Jusionis’s exploration of how human consciousness constructs meaning from fragmented reality. His paintings engage viewers in a visual and intellectual dialogue, inviting them to search for connections and significance in the carefully composed yet seemingly random imagery.
