Galerija VARTAI is pleased to recommend 'Zugzwang,' a solo exhibition by Mantas Platūkis at Pamenkalnio Gallery. This young artist investigates the digital nature of imagery and its conversion across various media. He explores how technology reshapes our perception, reflecting the fragmented, ceaseless flow of modern visuals. Platūkis utilises found images—from the internet and print—as 'processed' material, treating them as a new form of 'nature.' Through this, he unearths hidden political, social, and psychological narratives, alongside collective memory issues, embedded within these visuals.
