Fountain is a kinetic installation consisting of a fan, magnetic tape and a metal ring. A fan is placed face down on the ground causing the movement of the strands of magnetic tape fixed to the metal ring in a way that is reminiscent of jets of water. The constant sound of the fan and the rustling of the tape provide an ambient soundtrack to the work. The interplay between movement, sound and airflow provides a meditative ambience into which viewers can immerse themselves.
