Tripods consists of a number of metal rods standing close to one another and joined by threes at an apex, forming a 'forest' of tripod-shaped objects. The rods are not entirely straight but rather organically composed, subject to gentle bends and slight curves. In Sache, these were left unpainted and situated on a field in the open air, the pastureland morphing into an alien environment as sunlight bounced off the aluminum poles. Viewers were invited to move amongst and through the rods, which insisted navigation around and through.
