“Helium Flash” explores the fleeting nature of helium as it escapes the Earth’s grasp, ascending into the cosmos where it's forever lost to space. This volatile journey parallels the intense process known as helium burning, where, under the immense pressures and extreme temperatures of a star’s core (reaching nearly 100 million Kelvin), helium atoms fuse in a dramatic burst of energy. This explosive event, known as the “Helium Flash,” marks a critical point in the life cycle of a star, triggering a thermonuclear reaction that shapes the destiny of stellar bodies.
