I. Rybakovaitė dalyvauja grupinėse parodose Lietuvoje ir užsienyje, pirmą personalinę parodą surengė Lipštado miesto muziejuje Vokietijoje, 2024 m. laimėjo „Zabolis Art Prize“ konkursą, 2021 m. LMA skyrė vardinę Antano Smetonos stipendiją. I. Rybakovaitė savo kūryboje tyrinėja įvairias erdves bei jų patyrimą. Menininkė erdvę mato ne tik kaip statišką kraštovaizdį, bet ir kaip daugiasluoksnį kultūrinių, politinių, socialinių įtakų formuojamą reiškinį bei nuolat kintančių interpretacijų visumą. Jos kūrybai būdingas gilus susidomėjimas psichologiniais aspektais ir nejaukumo „Unheimliche“ būsenomis.

EN
Indrė Rybakovaitė (b. 1993, Lithuania), the winner of the "Zabolis Art Prize'24", is a contemporary painter whose work delves into the charged atmosphere of liminal spaces—those caught between past roles and current identities. She holds both a BA and MA in Site-Specific Art from the Vilnius Academy of Arts and further developed her craft under Prof. Holger Bunk at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design.

Rybakovaite's recent series reflects a shift in focus from peaceful settings, like resorts and sanatoriums, to sites marked by military and industrial history—spaces that evoke transformation and lingering unease. Her work often portrays these sites as museums or preserved historical locations, such as former KGB buildings in Dresden or Riga and a submarine museum in Hamburg. Approaching these places as both artist and visitor, Rybakovaite explores how her generation, born after Lithuania’s independence, interprets the emotional weight of such spaces. Her cinematic approach in painting instills a sense of suspense and expectancy, capturing the “waiting” quality inherent in spaces heavy with history and memory.

Exhibitions and Recognitions include being a finalist in the Young Painter Prize at the MO Museum, Vilnius (2021), showcasing work at Pop Up Austellung in Stuttgart (2019), and participation in the AUSWEITUNGEN performance event at Theater Tri-Bühne in Stuttgart (2019). She was also a finalist in the International A. Švėgžda Drawing Contest (2019)
