Tim Teven, a Dutch designer, graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven in 2018. A technical and material-driven approach to design, together with a hands-on way of working, allows him to experiment. In many of his works, the production process is used as both a design tool and a leading aspect in shaping the final outcome and function of the object. Treating materials in an unconventional way to rethink the process of making enables him to find surprising techniques that he can then translate into a functional yet interesting object. Teven works from his design studio in Eindhoven, which he founded in 2018. There, all the objects are handcrafted with industrial precision.
